Spice up your minivan with these upgrades.

The Chrysler Pacifica is now more expensive than ever before, but it’s good enough to go up against the Toyota Sienna, and its sharp styling is even attractive enough to suggest sportiness, although we doubt that it will ever get a Hellcat engine. Okay, so you can’t have over 700 horsepower in your Chrysler minivan, but thanks to new accessories for the competent family car, there are some practical ways to upgrade the MPV and make it even more useful to the adventurous family. More than 85 accessories have just been announced, ranging from basic items like floor mats to ski carriers.

First up are rooftop cargo boxes with 13, 14, or 17 cubic feet of volume. The smallest box costs $565, while the 14-cube box oddly costs less at $490. The biggest roof box is just 30 bucks pricier than the smallest one. Alternatively, you can get weatherproof rooftop cargo bags. An 11 cubic-foot bag costs $148 while a 16-cube bag sets you back $225. There’s also a ski and snowboard carrier for $225 that can hold up to six pairs of skis or four snowboards. Made from anodized aluminum and equipped with locks, it looks like a great option, but you will need crossbars or side rails, which are offered separately.

For those who like cycling, there’s an upright bike carrier for 200 bucks. Otherwise, you can get a fork-mount bike carrier for $175, but both of these also require the roof rack kit, which costs $410. Other items include a pet kennel ($190), cargo bins for $139, a foldable cooler for $41.25, all-weather floor mats for $260, a media screen protector for $260, or a roadside safety kit for $116. Oh, and these accessories are all suitable for the Chrysler Voyager too. For those with an active lifestyle, these upgrades come highly recommended. After all, a factory warranty and bolt-on construction will always be better than an aftermarket accessory’s questionable quality.
