Maserati Will Teach You How To Tame The MC20 Supercar

The Maserati MC20 was made to tear up the track. Maserati’s new much-anticipated supercar is powered by a twin-turbo V6 powertrain sending 621 horsepower and 538 lb-ft of torque to the rear wheels through an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. 0-62 mph takes just 2.9 seconds before the MC20 maxes out at 202 mph.

To help owners get the most out of the MC20 when it goes on sale, Maserati is starting a special driving school that teaches owners how to tame it on the track. Dubbed MC20 Master, the driving school forms part of the 22nd season of the Master Maserati driving courses at the Varano de’ Melegari circuit in Parma, Italy.

Running for two full days, the MC20 Master course allows drivers to “learn specialist techniques” and “how to exploit the MC20’s extreme performance to the full” in every driving mode including GT, Sport, and Race, with and without electronic controls activated.

Maserati will run the MC20 Master course on June 28 and June 29, 2021, July 10 and July 11, 2021, and September 2 and September 3, 2021. The driving course will set you back €10,000 ($11,893) on top of the MC20, which starts at $210,000.

Maserati also offers driving courses catering to all skill levels. Priced at € 900 ($1,070), the entry-level “Engine Start” course lets owners get behind the wheel of the Ghibli Trofeo and Levante Trofeo for half-a-day and experience a passenger ride inside the MC20 supercar.

The one-day GT course offers a “more intensive program” letting drivers loose in the Ghibli Trofeo, Levante Trofeo and MC20 in GT Driving Mode. This program costs € 2,400 ($2,854). Priced at € 4,150 ($4,935), the more advanced Sport course allows drivers to get behind the wheel of the GranTurismo MC GT4 race car in addition to the Ghibli Trofeo, Levante Trofeo and MC20 in GT and Sport driving modes.
