Jaguar E-Type 60 Collection Is A 60th-Anniversary Celebration

We love the Jaguar F-Type as much as the next person, especially when it’s fitted with a 5.0-liter supercharged V8. But as cool as that gnarly machine is, it still doesn’t hold a candle to the car the Enzo Ferrari once described as the most beautiful he had ever seen: the iconic E-Type. Although the British automaker is doing its best to get with the times, looking back on the classic E-Type can’t hurt. Sadly, the two are no longer going to mix, as Jag has pulled the plug on an electric E-Type, but that’s okay because the marque is giving us these limited-edition restored E-Types.

Under the gorgeous bodywork, you’ll find a 265-horsepower 3.8-liter straight-six borrowed from the old XK and mated to a close-ratio five-speed manual gearbox. For enhanced usability (although we doubt you’ll often see these cars outside of a museum-like garage), the cars feature Jaguar Classic’s infotainment system with navigation and Bluetooth connectivity, while other upgrades include a stainless steel exhaust system, electronic ignition, and an upgraded radiator. In Flat Out Grey and Drop Everything Green to evoke Gunmetal Grey and British Racing Green, these cars are sure to look absolutely gorgeous in the metal. Sold as a pair with one coupe and one roadster, it’s highly unlikely that you’ll see just one of these pop up for sale someday, but if that happens, it’ll surely be very expensive.
