For a long time, Nico Rosberg was the only man who could really challenge Lewis Hamilton on track in Formula 1. As many know, he did eventually beat Lewis back in 2016, winning his one and only WDC title. To date, he remains one of the only F1 drivers on the grid to ever beat Hamilton in the same car and on equal terms (go get mad about that in the comments). Suffice to say, the man has carved out a place for himself among the best F1 drivers ever to watch the lights go out on a race weekend.
Now, you and a friend can meet the legend. You can also enter to win a Tesla Model Y Performance while you’re at it. Moreover, in order to do that, you’ll be benefitting an excellent cause. There is a bit of an *asterisk here. You can only drive this Model Y for a year, and you must live in Germany to win it. That first part is due to the sponsor of the giveaway, FINN car subscriptions.
FINN describes itself as “an instant, flexible car subscription from your favorite brands that includes everything except for fuel.” Basically, you can think of them as a long-term rental company, or something akin to Porsche’s subscription model for its cars. This Model Y is one such car you can rent via FINN, albeit with a much longer loan term than normal, with all costs aside from charging covered. Regardless, your free year-long rental goes to a great cause.
The money from the raffle goes to benefit emergency aid in Ukraine. “That’s very important, dear to me. So I’m really, really happy we are able to support and we are not only supporting outside of Ukraine, but we will also be supporting locally in Ukraine, supporting the people there. So it’s really a broad support, which I think will be extremely welcome,” said Rosberg.
Nico went on to say that “both foundations are heavily engaged in supporting refugees in Germany, Poland, especially children, with families to provide them with medicine, hygiene products and even creating environments for them where they can feel comfortable.”
Supposing a meet’n’greet with Nico isn’t enough, there are some more runner-up prizes to entice F1 fans. Yes, the Rosberg meet isn’t the grand prize, the Model Y Performance is. We’d be gunning for the meeting with Nico, which will also include flights and a hotel stay. Still, even if you don’t win either of those, there are some other neat prizes included in the raffle. Some of those are even guaranteed depending on the donation amount.
Those prizes include signed mini helmets bearing Rosberg’s penmanship, signed photo prints of Nico (who else?), and a limited edition copy of Rosberg’s book, “Finally,” which covers his World Championship win in 2016.
