It looks like it wants to fight someone.
Whenever Porsche throws an RS badge on one of its cars, you know its going to be a wild time. The 2023 911 GT3 RS is the latest RennSport creation from Porsche, and it has been under wraps for what feels like a lifetime. We’ve seen it blasting around the Nurburgring in mild camouflage, and last month we finally got to see it cruise around on public roads. As the 911 GT3 RS nears an imminent, Porsche is dropping more and more camo, and in this YouTube video posted by CarSpyMedia, we get to see it testing around the ring in its birthday suit, and it looks real fine.
By now, most Porsche fans should be well-acquainted with the 911 GT3 RS’s exterior styling and aero bits, and this video confirms everything we’ve been saying so far. The F1-inspired rear wing with its split top-hung design and bodywork dotted with vents, splitters, and bulges looks mean, bordering on violently aggressive. And seeing this car on the street in near-production spec gives the viewer a clear idea of just how in-your-face this track weapon is. Once on the track, the Porsche 911 GT3 RS sounds beastly and seems to defy the laws of physics around the corners, partly thanks to those massively wide Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires gluing it to the asphalt.

Some expected the Porsche 911 GT3 RS to make an appearance at the 2022 Goodwood Festival of Speed, but Porsche obviously missed the prestigious occasion to focus on actual track testing (typical Germans). Either way, us lucky viewers get to experience the howl of that majestic naturally-aspirated 4.0-liter boxer-six engine. With two exhaust tips jutting from underneath the rear diffuser, we get to sample one of the best-sounding cars around today, and although Porsche hasn’t released any official figures, we expect it to make significantly more power than its sibling, the Porsche GT3, which produces 502 horsepower and 346 lb-ft of torque. Porsche is yet to announce a reveal date for its new track monster, but it is clear that things are coming to a point, and we can’t wait.
