Where else but Dubai?

The Nissan GT-R was never meant to be a subtle car. In fact, it was purposefully designed to impress and intimidate. We’ve seen a ton of modified GT-Rs in our time, but few have managed to turn heads and make internet headlines quite as well as Kuhl Racing’s fully engraved gold Nissan GT-R that made its debut at the 2016 Tokyo Auto Salon show. This crazy example of late-stage capitalism is now up for sale through Dubai’s Auto Deals UAE, and with only 3,728 miles showing on the odometer, can be parked in your garage for the insignificant price of only $1.6 million AED ($435,600).

Kuhl Racing first unveiled a metallic version at the 2015 Tokyo Auto Salon and both cars feature a special chrome finish over the raw body panels (this car has obviously received the gold treatment on top of that) that took highly-skilled engravers a year to finish. No panel has been left untouched, and while it might be a bit too much for some, one can’t help but be amazed at the attention to detail that has gone into crafting this piece of automotive art. Not only has Kuhl Racing engraved this car like a 19th-century signet ring, but it has also added a fully custom body kit with new front and rear bumpers, a slick rear wing, and some crazy offset wheels – which have been changed since it first debuted.

Under the hood lies a tuned version of the VR38DETT V6 twin-turbo engine which now produces around 900 horsepower and also features some questionable gold accents to complete the flashy theme. Connected to the power plant is an exquisite, custom-built, full titanium exhaust, and the interior is dotted with gold trimmings too. While the majority of car fans around the world will look down upon this car with disgust (let’s be honest, who can blame them?), it will surely find a happy home in Dubai, a city that is well-known for its love of gaudy machinery, jet packs, and artificially-built islands.
