This is the Vette to have, but production will only start by mid-summer.
Demand for the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is at an all-time high, yet production has never been lower. A production date for the highly-anticipated Z06 has yet to be announced, but we now know that the 70th Anniversary Edition will start rolling off the assembly line by mid-summer.
In addition to parts shortages, Chevrolet also had to deal with a tornado that destroyed 120 units before they even left the factory.
The order books opened in April, with production set to begin in early May. Come early May, production was once again postponed until the end of the month.

The news that the 70th Anniversary production will only start by mid-summer will disappoint several prospective owners.
Not only is it a celebration of an American icon, but the package is excellent value, relatively speaking. It’s only available on the top-spec LT3 model and adding it takes the price up to $81,240, excluding the destination charge.
For $5,995, you get Ceramic White Nappa leather seats with perforated surfaces and red stitching, Edge-Red brake calipers, sueded microfiber-wrapped steering wheel, 19/20-inch 20-spoke forged aluminum wheels with a red stripe, an engine cover in Edge Red, a two-piece premium leather travel bags in Jet Black with red stitching, and a rear fascia protector with embroidered cross flags logo.

In short, if you happened to be in the market for an LT3, there’s a good chance you opted for the 70th Anniversary Package.
The 70th Anniversary Package will also be available on the Z06, though pricing for the car still needs to be confirmed. Chevrolet recently went live with the 2023 online configurator, and the Z06 is still absent.
That hasn’t stopped dealerships from making a buck. Though the price is unknown, a dealership recently made the news for charging a $100,000 markup on the car. And you’re expected to pay $5,000 to get on the order list.
