This is gonna be good.

Ford has just updated the entire Mustang range for 2021, and with a new model year come more opportunities for tuners to showcase their abilities. One of the most prolific Ford tuners around is Roush, and its latest Mustang Stage 3 upgrade package is certainly something to take note of. While the stock GT500 produces 760 horsepower, Roush has upgraded the regular GT to as much as 775 hp and given the car the looks to match its astonishing supercharged engine. The result is Roush’s “most powerful version ever”, and we desperately want to take one for a spin to see what that magnificent power feels like.

But before we discuss the performance, let’s look at the styling. Roush has equipped an aerodynamic body kit with a new front splitter and wheel shrouds, as well as a vented hood, vents in the front fenders, and a quad-exit exhaust system. 20-inch wheels wrapped in Continental ExtremeContact rubber transmit power to the ground, but we’re pretty sure the wheels will still squeal with ease. If you want to reduce noise in other ways, an optional active exhaust system can be added, offering control over the tone and volume of the system via either an iOS app or a console-mounted dial with four modes.

Inside, you get premium leather upholstery, illuminated door sills, and additional auxiliary gauges. There’s also a little plaque with a serial number and your choice between a custom shift knob or paddle shifters, depending on how your base car changes gears. Now, about the power.

The 5.0-liter supercharged V8 produces 750 hp and 670 lb-ft of torque, allowing for a 0-60 time of just 3.6 seconds and a quarter-mile of 11.2 seconds. But for the truly insane, you can boost power even further to 775 horses. Along with numerous supporting mods to handle the increased power, the Roush Stage 3 kit brings a dent to your cashflow that starts at $24,995. But at least there’s a comprehensive five-year/60,000-mile powertrain warranty too.
