It’s gained some new infotainment upgrades too.
Far from resting on its laurels, Land Rover has been hard at work expanding its off-road empire with all sorts of exciting new models. Sitting as its most luxurious offering, the Range Rover model line has also been getting a decent amount of attention. Last year, the Range Rover received a new range of engines and a revamped cabin, and Land Rover introduced the first-ever Velar plug-in hybrid. Now there’s even more good news for fans of the brand: now launching is a brand new Range Rover Velar HST Edition, following the success of the Evoque and Range Rover Sport of the same designation.

The HST Edition features a stealthy yet aggressive look highlighted by new exterior features such as a Black contrast roof and full exterior Black Pack including Gloss Black 21-inch 5 split-spoke alloy wheels and privacy glass. The HST Edition is available in the full Range Rover color palette, and exclusively in the eye-catching Arrois Grey. Inside the cabin, the dark theme continues with Black Suede Cloth headlining and a black suede steering wheel. The HST Edition also features a large sliding panoramic roof for an extra roomy feel.

Under the skin, this special Range Rover features Land Rover’s Electronic Air Suspension with Adaptive Dynamics and your choice of six-cylinder and mild-hybrid petrol or diesel engines. As the inclusion of a soot-spewing engine indicates, this model isn’t for us, but that could change. Other new features include Amazon Alexa when optioned with the advanced Pivi Pro infotainment system and the Online Pack on Velar models.
Pricing starts at £46,565 for the entry-level D200 Velar, and goes up to £69,865 for the D300 HST. The top-of-the-line P400 HST will set you back a cool £73,815. While this model isn’t expected to come to the US, a new Range Rover Velar Edition (pictured below) based on the R-Dynamic SE trim has also been added to the UK’s inventory with essentially the same features as the HST, minus that exclusive paint option, and since we have similar R-Dynamic S and SE trims, this could come to our shores eventually.
