It may not be the most exciting midsize SUV on the market, but the GMC Acadia is a sensible choice for those just looking to buy comfortable and spacious family transportation. For April, GMC has added even more appeal to the pragmatic SUV with some enticing discounts and incentives.
Those looking to purchase in cash will be pleased to know there’s a $1,000 price reduction on 2022 models. If you’re the current owner or lessee of a MY2008 or newer Buick or GMC, there’s an additional $250 loyalty cashback incentive up for grabs. This means up to $1,250 off a brand new Acadia, which would reduce the MSRP of the base model to $33,550.
Opting to go the financing route yields additional benefits. Well-qualified buyers can look forward to interest-free financing for three years, although the deal must be done through GM Financial. As with the cash purchase, there’s a loyalty cashback program for current MY2008 or newer Buick and GMC owners/lessees, with $250 up for grabs.
The leasing incentives are even more appealing. Those looking to slide in behind the wheel of a 2022 Acadia will have to check with their local retailer, as offers differ from region to region. For example, in Los Angeles, a 2022 FWD SLE is available at $229 p/m for two years. The ultra-low mileage lease is capped at 10,000 miles per annum and, while $3,229 is due at signing, no security deposit is required.
This isn’t the only discount GMC is running this month. The popular Sierra 1500 also has several customer incentives, with up to $1,500 off certain models. Interestingly, the range-topping Denali Ultimate needed no discounts to fly off the showroom floor; a GM representative said 2022 production capacity had already been reached for the $80,000+ truck.
The Acadia’s 2.5-liter engine was discontinued for the 2022 model year and survived by the more modern 2.0-liter turbocharged motor and the 3.6-liter V6. Interestingly, both engine choices are equipped with FWD as standard although four-wheel drive is an optional extra on specific trims. If you’re looking to take advantage of this April-only deal, it’s worth noting that you need to take delivery by May 2, 2022.
