The results are nothing short of spectacular.
For many gearheads, the obsession with all things automotive blossomed at an early age. Be it a beloved toy car, a collection of motoring magazines, or a parent with a fondness for speed, most of us can attribute this passion to our early days. This lucky little boy in Vietnam is no different. Thanks to his father’s remarkable skill, he will have gasoline coursing through his veins for many years to come.
In the video below, Truong Van Dao (who goes by ND – Woodworking Art on YouTube) has documented his incredible build of a wooden Lamborghini V12 GT Vision Gran Turismo, a concept car first seen in 2019. With fastidious attention to detail, Van Dao sets about creating something truly special for his son. First, he begins by fashioning a frame out of steel and builds all the necessary braking and suspension components, ensuring this replica handles as good as it looks.

Unlike the concept car which boasts an 819-horsepower 6.5-liter V12, the wooden replica makes use of a far more humble electric motor. But the truly jaw-dropping part of the video has to be the crafting of the bodywork. Van Dao carefully cuts bits of wood to mirror the panels found on the V12 GT Vision Gran Turismo, before expertly marrying the various pieces to the steel frame.
His car-loving offspring helps too, placing the timbered brake discs (replete with Lamborghini-branded calipers) on the wheel with care. Even the interior receives the same exacting attention to detail, with a Lamborghini-style steering wheel. Lastly, the V12 has been carved into the woodwork with painstaking precision. All that was left to do was hit the streets.

Grinning from ear to ear, Van Dao’s little boy takes sheer delight in rolling around in his dad’s creation; clearly, this project was worth it. At night, it’s quite the stunner – LED lights glitter all over the hand-crafted body. No detail has been forgotten, with the replica wearing the same ’63’ and ‘GT’ logos seen on the original.
We’ve long been admirers of ND – Woodworking Art’s work. Last year, the Vietnamese sensation created a Ferrari 250 GTO out of wood and, recently, created his son an equally striking Lamborghini Sian from the material. Amazingly, the entire project took a mere 96 days from start to finish, highlighting the talent on display.
Van Dao has certainly ignited a love for Italian exotica within his little boy. We wouldn’t be surprised if this toddler grows up with a strong desire to own one of the Raging Bull’s finest cars yet, the Huracan Tecnica.
