  • Lucid Air gets $6,000 “Stealth Look”
  • 35 exterior components in darker finish
  • Arriving Q1 2023

Lucid is currently struggling to meet its yearly production estimates and fill the backlog of pre-orders, but the EV manufacturer still wants to make sure that owners who are taking delivery have as many options as possible. We’ve seen owners get creative with vinyl wraps to customize their cars, but now they will have an option straight from Lucid. It’s called the “Stealth Look” package, and it transforms the Lucid Air with a darker personality.

The $6,000 package includes changes to 35 exterior components, most notably the pillars surrounding the glass canopy roof and the large nose blade above the headlights. These elements are typically finished in platinum on the Air, but get a stealth polished finish as part of this new design package.

“From its inception, Lucid Air was designed for two distinct looks that reflect the duality of its personality: standard Platinum Look, which highlights its luxurious nature; and now Stealth Look, which is simultaneously assertive yet under-the-radar,” said Derek Jenkins, SVP of Design and Brand for Lucid Group.

Customers who prefer the Air with the Stealth Look can select it on the Grand Touring Performance, Grand Touring, and Touring trims, meaning it’s only unavailable on the base Pure model. The darker finish isn’t limited to color either. Lucid will offer it with all exterior hues, including Stellar White, Infinite Black, Cosmos Silver, Quantum Grey, and Zenith Red.

“Lucid Air is undeniably one of the highest-performance vehicles on the road as exemplified by the Air Grand Touring Performance, with 1,050 horsepower, which secured the title of fastest production car in the Hillclimb Timed Shootout at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed. The sinister style of Stealth Look is a perfect complement,” Jenkins added.

Lucid will show off the Air’s new look during Monterey Car Week at Motorlux on Wednesday, August 17, 2022. Interested customers can configure a car with this package before then on August 10. Unfortunately, it will be a while before any units are shipped with the Stealth Look. Lucid says production isn’t planned until Q1 2023, meaning all Air units shipped this year will have the original silver accents.
