The Wrangler received an extensive facelift earlier this year, but changes to the Grand Cherokee have been kept to a minimum.
Jeep has revealed new details about the 2024 Wrangler and Grand Cherokee lineup.
Several updates have been made, with some models receiving new features, optional extras, and revised exterior styling.
Let’s look at the various changes that have been made. The Compass, Gladiator, Wagoneer, and Grand Wagoneer have been excluded, as the automaker has not yet shared 2024 MY updates for these models. CarBuzz will provide these details as soon as they become available.
2024 Jeep Wrangler
As previously reported, the Wrangler range received a facelift for MY2024. The exterior benefits from a new seven-slot grille design, a windshield-integrated antenna, ten new wheel designs, and a Sky One-Touch powertop.
The interior gains a new instrument panel with Uconnect 5, a 12.3-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and optional powered 12-way adjustable front seats. Adding first- and second-row side-curtain airbags has bolstered the standard safety kit.
All 2024 Wrangler models receive forward collision warning and advanced cruise control as standard, except for the entry-level Sport trim. A new Willys model gives customers a greater choice and wades into battle with increased ground clearance, larger tires, and several enhancements that should make off-road driving a breeze.
Jeep also offers a Jurassic Parklimited edition graphics package for Wrangler and Gladiator models.
The popular Rubicon trim is better than ever before. The solid Dana 44 HD Full Float rear axle enables customers to fit larger tires and provides a tow rating of up to 5,000 pounds. A factory-fitted Warn winch with an 8,000-lb capacity is also available.
A Rubicon X model has been introduced for 2024. Available with a 2.0-liter or 3.6-liter engine, this model is positioned beneath the V8-powered Rubicon 392. The package includes steel bumpers, an off-road camera, and 35-inch tires.
As for the popular Wrangler 4xe – America’s best-selling plug-in hybrid – Jeep has added a more affordable Sport S trim. Priced at $49,995, this variant undercuts the Willys 4xe by over $5,000. For 2024, the 4xe models are also offered with the Jeep 4xe Power Box, which can power mobile devices thanks to four 120-volt outlets.
Lastly, the Uconnect 5 system now displays 62 Jeep Badge of Honor trails. A subscription can unlock more than 3,000 additional trails.
Jeep Grand Cherokee
Updates for the 2024 Grand Cherokee lineup have been kept brief. The only Grand Cherokee and Grand Cherokee L changes pertain to the Limited trim levels. Both variants of this mid-spec model now receive 18-inch polished/painted aluminum wheels as standard.
The 4xe has received more significant upgrades. The Trailhawk trim receives new 18-inch wheels painted in black, while the Anniversary Edition has several interior improvements. The seats have been upholstered in Capri leatherette, while those up front benefit from ventilated seats.
There’s a nine-speaker Alpine sound system for everyone to enjoy. This is operated via the Uconnect 5 system, which includes navigation. The package includes wireless device charging, 20-inch black-painted wheels, and several exterior add-ons.
