But at the same time, you want your car, your sponsors and notoriety out there, so renting your car out for a rap video shoot might have seemed like a brilliant idea at the time. But then it’s returned trashed and you immediately regret that decision.

As an employee at Toyo tires, Chen’s 1988 BMW M3 is well-known in the BMW community and internet famous as he heavily documents his M3’s show and media attention. But this is the wrong kind of attention, and one that had Chen and the commenters blood boiling.

We seriously doubt Chen would agree to someone sitting on the E30 M3 hood while driving, in super dusty conditions and as we noted, with the rear vent windows open. The desert silt is extremely fine and will get everywhere, including inside and around the painstakingly rebuilt S14 4-cylinder motor.

The jury is out on whether involvement in any video production is a solid idea. We have heard of contacts lending out Lambos that are horribly mistreated because often the rental agreements are far less legally binding than, say, an exotic rental with their lofty 5-figure deposits.
