The luxury SUV looks classy.

While most of the recent hype that GMC has been enjoying can be attributed to the new Hummer EV, fans of more traditional, luxurious offerings have been waiting with bated breath for the Denali trim of the 2022 GMC Terrain to be unveiled. We’ve already seen the sporty AT4 model being teased, and the design of the SUV looks far less awkward than before. But now it seems that GMC isn’t too concerned with keeping the covers on the SUV for much longer, with the brand posting a family photo that includes the new luxury version of the Terrain.

As we’ve seen with other models, the Denali treatment gives you some really special styling touches, along with loads more luxury and expense. The little we can tell from the above images indicates that there will once again be plenty of chrome scattered about the SUV. The brightwork is present on the front grille and lower faux vents, the window trims, and the rocker panels. Of course, no American luxury vehicle – SUV or otherwise – is complete sans chrome wheels, and those appear to feature prominently once again. Compared to other pictures you see of the 2021 model without the Denali treatment, these touches make a big difference.

We’ll have to wait for the full reveal to analyze the styling of the rear and to pore over the details of the interior, but you can rest assured that the 2022 GMC Terrain Denali will offer loads of leather, fancy buttons and trim elements, and enough tech to keep the most ADHD-riddled teen quiet for at least a couple of hours. In terms of engine offerings, details are similarly scant, but the rumor mill says we might expect two options: a 1.5-liter turbo and a 2.0-liter turbo. As soon as GMC lets us know what’s up, we’ll give you the low-down right here.
