And looks oh so sinister.

There are plenty of road cars out there that have pretty awesome soundtracks, but in truth, track-only racers are the ones that can really make the hairs on the back of your neck stand up like nothing else. One such car is the Glickenhaus 007 Le Mans hypercar, and thanks to the video below, you can hear the gunshot upshifts and downshifts of the twin-turbo V8. It sounds absolutely insane and only whets our appetites even more for its battle with cars like the Aston Martin Valkyrie when it finally makes its way to Le Mans. And don’t worry – a roadgoing version is expected too.

The video comes from the outskirts of the Monza circuit in Italy where the 007 LMH is being tested, and based on what we can see and hear, it’s going to be a spine-tingling experience watching it do battle with the likes of the Toyota GR Super Sport. According to reports, the car is expected to have a total weight of just 2,425 pounds and will cost $2 million each. Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus says that its engine will be produced by Pip Moteurs in France, but no power estimates have yet been claimed, although we expect at least 600 horsepower.

Although not a household name yet, there are high hopes for the brand and its racecar since SCG (based in Sleepy Hollow, New York) has previously managed six first-in-class finishes at the 24 Hours of the Nurburgring and nine Le Mans finishes. We just hope that its aims of achieving an outright win at Le Mans are achievable, but to do that, Glickenhaus will need money, and lots of it. Of course, the roadgoing cars that will help fund this racing endeavor won’t sound quite as extreme as the test car you hear in the video above, but hopefully, they won’t be far off.
