The Audi RS6 Avant is a super wagon without equal. As standard, it comes with a twin-turbo V8 producing 591 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque, allowing it to do 0-60 mph in 3.5 seconds. In a genuine family car. And it looks great too, making it one of our favorite high-performance wagons. This is one of the most elegantly aggressive machines on the planet, signaling its performance capability without shouting about it. But what if you do want to shout about it? German tuner G&B Design is no stranger to making a scene, and it’s just turned its attention to Ingolstadt’s epic wagon by applying a seriously chunky widebody kit to it. As a result, all subtlety has been thrown out the window.

The new kit widens the family wagon on each side, front and rear, by 8 centimeters. In American, that translates to 3.15 inches, so it’s seriously girthy. A new hood has been added to the car too, along with a new front apron with a matching lip. The fenders were then made to fit, with the side skirts and extensions on the profile following the same procedure. A roof spoiler further increases the aggression of the kit, with a new rear end and a two-part diffuser completing the look. Naturally, such extreme modifications need to be complemented by new wheels, so G&B fitted its in-house Jager forged wheels, measuring 21×12 inches all around. This creation was then renamed the 6XTM, but G&B hasn’t said what this name is inspired by.

With strakes and vents all over the place, this thing is controversial, to say the least, but the molding of the Audi rings into the rear fascia makes it exceptionally, er, unusual. No performance gains have been made, but there are plenty of other tuners who can help in that regard. In fact, there are other tuners that can assist with improving aesthetics too – without adding Audi rings where they don’t belong. Then again, when a car is designed as well as this from the factory, surely it’s better to just leave it alone. G&B has not said what this kit costs, but even if it’s just a buck, it’s too expensive.
