Spoiler: Neither are cheap.

Two of the most hotly anticipated enthusiast cars of 2021 are the Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing and CT5-V Blackwing models. Both cars are set to go head to head with Germany’s hottest luxury performance sedans. The CT4-V Blackwing uses a twin-turbo 3.6-liter V6 making 472 horsepower and 445 lb-ft of torque, while the CT5-V Blackwing is powered by GM’s cartoonishly powerful 6.2-liter supercharged V8 rated at 668 hp and 659 lb-ft of torque. Cadillac has opened reservations, and we know the starting prices, but how much will the next-level sedans cost after ticking all the boxes? We asked Cadillac and this is what they had to say:

The CT4-V Blackwing starts at $59,990 and tops out at $87,775 with all the option boxes ticked. That’s a couple of grand cheaper than a base CT5-V Blackwing that starts at $84,990. But, tick all of the boxes on the order form, and you’re looking at a total cost of $125,980. All of these prices include the destination charge.

That’s expensive, but not crazy when you compare to the BMW M3 and M5 models Cadillac’s sedans are directly going up against. BMW’s M3 starts at $69,900. We don’t have a price yet on the next generation CS model, but the last one started at $98,250. The new M5 CS begins at $142,000, which is $40,000 more than a standard M5.

We have a fair idea of what most of the Blackwing options look like already and we know there’s a choice between a six-speed manual transmission and a 10-speed automatic, and that two different carbon fiber packages will be offered.

All 500 of the first-run special edition models have already been reserved, consisting of 250 serialized CT4-V Blackwing and 250 serialized CT5-V Blackwing models. Cadillac customers can sign up to a waiting list, though, and the company will let them know when more models are available to order. First deliveries for both models are expected to start arriving in the summer of this year.
