These short films showcase the SUV’s strengths in unusual ways.

To celebrate the recent launch of the Mustang Mach-E, Ford is launching an unconventional marketing campaign that showcases the strengths of the electric SUV in “impressive and visually captivating ways.” Dubbed Mustang Mach-E v. Everything, the series of five short videos pit the Mustang Mach-E against the forces of gravity, lightning, a racing pit crew, DNA and a rocket to “shatter every misconception customers might have about electric vehicles”. The name was chosen in response to how consumers are searching online as comparison searches for electric vehicles using “versus” have gone up by 64 percent in the past year.

“Mustang has always been disruptive, and the all-new all-electric Mustang is no different,” said Suzy Deering, chief marketing officer, Ford Motor Company. “We needed a campaign that brought the spirit of Mustang to life in the most compelling, entertaining way possible. And Mustang Mach-E v. Everything does just that.”

Mustang Mach-E Vs. Pit Crew

Over-the-air software updates allow owners to update the Mustang Mach-E with the latest features from almost anywhere. In a unique race, a remote pit crew is deployed to manually upgrade a Ford Mustang Nascar Cup Car as fast as possible while the Mustang Mach-E’s updates are installed using over-the-air updates at the same time.

Mustang Mach-E Vs. Lightning

The fourth video demonstrates the Mustang Mach-E’s fast charging capabilities. Using a DC fast charger, the Mustang Mach-E can add around 59 miles of range within ten minutes. As Ford shows in the video, this beats the charge of lightning generated from a 12ft Tesla coil, which added 26 miles of range in 10 minutes.

Ford’s final video shows how the Mustang Mach-E can learn the driver’s habits and adapt to their preferences accordingly. To show how advanced its personalization technology is, Ford used identical twins to see if the SUV could tell them apart.
