3D-Printed Ferrari F8 Tributo Looks Sensational

If the standard Ferrari F8 Tributo is somehow too tame for you, there are plenty of aftermarket tuners offering to spice it up. Novitec, for example, recently gave the mid-engine supercar a carbon-fiber makeover while also upgrading the suspension and massaging the the twin-turbo V8 to generate 800 horsepower. What makes this latest tuning package from 1016 Industries more interesting, however, is that the carbon-fiber kit is made up of 3D-printed parts.

The tuner’s 3D printed body kit, similar to that seen on a McLaren 720S, plugs in seamlessly to the original body. It’s also completely customizable as the pieces are fully removable and available in 1×1 style carbon weave. Available 3D-printed carbon fiber components include new hood vents, a front aero lip, bumper inserts, side skirts, a rear spoiler, a rear diffuser, and rear J-shaped vents, subtly enhancing the styling while improving the aerodynamics.

This may sound similar to other body kits available for the F8, but 1016 Industries has added some subtle upgrades that set it apart.

For example, the tuner has added veins to the headlight vents that improve airflow into the ducts to cool the engine more effectively. A suction duct was also placed into the middle of the front lip, directing air under the body of the car, while extended side bumper vents improve the car’s aerodynamics. To better integrate the kit, a bulging fin on the F8’s original side skirt was hidden, while the rear spoiler uses OEM attachment points to prevent the need to cut, drill or modify the bodywork.

In addition, the tuner incorporates 3D printed exhaust X pipes and downpipes. Instead of the exhaust downpipes being a flat plate of metal that makes up the hangar, lasers are used to cut mesh into it, reducing the weight of the downpipes. No modifications were made to the F8’s 3.9-liter twin-turbo V8, however, which still produces 710 horsepower and 568 lb-ft. Priced at $46,640, the full body kit will be available by the end of this month.
