Previously, the automaker canceled its participation at the CES.

The United Auto Workers (UAW) union’s strike against Stellantis has forced the automaker to cancel yet more auto show plans. Following canceling its participation at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in early 2024, Stellantis will also back out of the SEMA Show and Los Angeles Auto Show.

Like the previous announcement, Stellantis canceled its planned display and all other presentations at the aforementioned auto show as part of its contingency plan. UAW is urging Stellantis to increase the wages and improve the benefits of the latter’s employees, to which the automaker refuses to comply.

By withdrawing from the SEMA Show and LA Auto Show, Stellantis could save some capital to keep the business going. Despite feeling heavy over the plan, the company is even on the verge of selling 18 of its facilities in America. Production of its models, like the Jeep Wrangler would be affected. But on the flip side, it would also keep the company stable.

Brands like Jeep and Dodge would miss out on the exciting aftermarket displays at the SEMA Show that bring out more vehicles. In-house parts and accessory division Mopar previously teased a new Ram 2500 concept. But with the current events, the mystery truck concept won’t likely come out in Las Vegas.

Likewise, the LA Auto Show will be losing a lot of brands because of the decision to withdraw. This includes Chrysler, Dodge, Fiat, Jeep, and Ram. The upcoming exhibit should’ve been its “strongest event” since the industry’s resurgence from the pandemic. We’ll miss out on the possible return of the Jeep Wrangler in its facelifted 2024 form.

But apparently, the show must go on. The SEMA Show is happening from October 31 to November 3 at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. Meanwhile, the LA Auto Show will open its doors from November 17 to 26, which will be held at the Los Angeles Convention Center in Los Angeles, California.
