Help a returning off-roader?

So I’m looking at getting back into the off-roading scene with a decent entry level set up on my JK. However I’m at a loss for a good suspension set up, I know rough country isn’t liked due to cheap parts (or was several years back). I’m not trying to build a completely outrageous vehicle, but the stock suspension is limiting for my purposes.

I’d like to get an approximate 3 inch suspension lift kit, however I don’t know a good brand to start with that won’t destroy my bank account but still put in a bit of work? I don’t need absolute top of the line high performance high durability parts, I’m just not that intense, but a leveling kit just isn’t want I’m after either.

I damn near drowned in a billion articles on the subject and all seemed to have different opinions with none of the in-between / semi-experienced option I’m looking for. I’d like to keep this kit under 2000 USD and I’m NOT trying to go do crazy shit like the Rubicon Trail, but I’d definitely like to make some more room for movement. If only a little bit more.
