These aren’t the colors you typically see on a Rolls-Royce.

Aside from the bright orange Dawn that we drove last year, it’s pretty uncommon to see a Rolls-Royce in a color besides black, white, gray, or silver. Rolls-Royce customers are typically conservative with their exterior paint choices, but when the goal is to impress people at Monterey Car Week, black or white just won’t cut it. Rolls-Royce Motor Cars just revealed the “Pebble Beach Collection 2022” Bespoke Commissions during this year’s event.

The collection includes some stunning hues on a Black Badge Rolls-Royce Cullinan SUV and Rolls-Royce Ghost. Rolls-Royce wanted to prove that its Black Badge models aren’t always black, which is why the Cullinan is finished in a new shade called Forbidden Pink. The Ghost is pretty unique as well, wearing a color called Crystal over Sagano Green.

“We have matched colors from flower petals to shades of lipstick and incorporated gold, silver, and even diamonds into Bespoke finishes,” says Jonathan Simms, Head of Bespoke at Rolls-Royce Motor Cars. “We welcome creative and technological challenges from our patrons as it drives us to redefine our own creative and technical limits. The inspiration for Rolls-Royce color and finish is limited only by one’s imagination.”

The Forbidden Pink Cullinan would be perfect for Barbie if she managed a hedge fund, as it pairs that vibrant exterior with handcrafted Grace White leather matched to Cashmere Grey highlights. For an extra splash, the client added Lime Green leather accents throughout the cabin. At the back, this Cullinan features the Bespoke Viewing Suite, which is wrapped in Peony Pink leather.

As for the Ghost, its Crystal over Sagano Green paint contains six layers of finish, requiring hours of hand polishing from Rolls-Royce’s Exterior Surface Finish Center. The crystal finish is applied before the final two clear coat layers, adding a lustrous, multi-dimensional shimmer to the paint. A hand-painted coachline compliments the styling and matches the gloss black wheels.

“Rolls-Royce is Bespoke, and color plays a crucial role,” said Simms. “The world’s premier luxury marque offers 44,000 shades for exterior finish, and if a client can’t find exactly what they have envisioned, our color experts in Goodwood will match any shade to create a ‘Bespoke Signature Named’ color finish.”

Rolls-Royce also revealed the updated Phantom Series II, which makes its North American debut at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering. This particular example is dubbed “Maverick” by the Rolls-Royce Bespoke designers. It wears a two-tone color scheme with Black over Monteverde Green. Inside, the cabin is awash in Scivaro Grey leather with a vibrant pop from Peony Pink accents. It’s certainly one of the boldest Phantoms we’ve seen.
