Here’s the cheapest way into SP3 Daytona ownership.
If, like most of us, your paycheck doesn’t quite allow you to enjoy Maranello’s finest, you’ll have to find other ways to indulge your passion for the Prancing Horse. First seen in 2020, Lego unveiled a 1,677-piece Technic kit of the Ferrari 488 GTE. Now yet another example of Italy’s finest will be immortalized in the finest Danish plastic.
Paying tribute to the striking Ferrari Daytona SP3, Lego’s latest Technic kit will challenge even the most skilled Lego builders, courtesy of its 3,776 pieces. Interestingly, the toymaker is yet to formally launch the product, but several retailers have already placed the desirable set on sale, reports paultan.org. Many listings have since disappeared, though.

Set to be released in August, the new Technic set will reportedly carry a list price of $399,99, although some purveyors have allegedly been taking pre-orders for around $364. Not much is known about the latest addition to the Lego family, but a picture found on Reddit gives us further clues.
It shows an image of the SP3 Daytona model along with a blurb that reads, “Discover how the Lego Technic Ferrari Daytona SP3 model was designed and built alongside the development of the real-life, limited-edition supercar.” The miniature version of the beautiful supercar will reportedly be very detailed, with a moving engine and opening doors.

When the Ferrari SP3 Daytona does eventually make its debut, it will join a host of celebrated motoring icons. Recently, the Danish toymaker introduced a McLaren F1 car with a moving V6 engine, much to the delight of Daniel Ricciardo and Lando Norris. But, if that fails to excite, perhaps the life-sized Lego Ferrari F40 might.
The 1:1 replica of Enzo Ferrari’s final creation is on display at Legoland California and took as many as 3,700 hours of work to turn the idea into reality. The upcoming SP3 Daytona should be more manageable and prove easier to build on the coffee table, too. We expect Lego to make an official announcement regarding its arrival in the coming weeks.
As for cost, we would expect it to be priced close to the $399,99 estimation.
