  3. Subaru BRZ Is Still A Bargain For 2023

But it does get more expensive.

Though it increased in price for the second generation, the Subaru BRZ is still among the best value sports cars available today. The new BRZ now enters its second model year for 2023, and just like last year, there’s a small price increase. The 2023 model still comes in two trim levels, Premium and Limited, both available with either a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission. Buyers who want the cheapest BRZ possible should order a Premium with the stick, which starts at $28,595, plus a $1,020 delivery fee for a total of $29,615 (all following prices will include delivery).

That’s $600 more than last year’s model ($27,995 base MSRP) and the delivery fee has increased by $60. Subaru managed to keep the base model below 30 grand, but if you want the optional automatic, the BRZ Premium now costs $31,115. Any enthusiasts reading this site know to skip the $1,500 automatic and get the superior stick shift.

Subaru’s press release doesn’t mention any new standard or optional features, so it appears this year’s price hikes are simply due to market conditions. The BRZ continues to deliver a strong standard features list, including a Torsen limited-slip differential, 17-inch wheels, push button start with keyless access, LED headlights, dual-zone climate control, and more. While less engaging to drive, opting for the automatic adds Subaru EyeSight Driver Assist Technology with adaptive cruise, pre-collision braking, lane departure warning, and more. An eight-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is standard on all models.

The more well-equipped BRZ Limited costs $32,115 for the manual or $33,815 for the automatic. Stepping up to the Limited adds 18-inch alloy wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 4 summer tires, heated mirrors, blind-spot monitors, steering responsive headlights, heated Ultrasuede seats, an upgraded audio system, and more. Reverse automatic braking is specific to the BRZ Limited automatic with EyeSight. While no price increase is good news, we are happy to report that the 2023 Subaru BRZ remains a great value sports car.
